West Midlands Police Ford Transit.

West Midlands Police Ford Transit, BX67 FVG (FSR023) which belongs to the Force Support Unit, I did ask why the 'FSR' decals had been removed but I'm afraid it fell on 'deaf ears'.

West Midlands Police Unmarked Ford Focus.

I was surprised to see this on display especially as I'm quite often seen as the 'devil incarnate' for even knowing the VRN's of unmarked units but there you go.

West Midlands Police Unmarked Ford Transit Dog Unit.

Solihull Police Station Open Day. (3/4)

West Midlands Fire Service Volvo FL Pump Rescue Ladder, BX10 JYN (76) which is based at Solihull Fire Station.

Preserved Metropolitan Police Special Escort Group (S014) Range Rover, M751 CVC, a very early 4.0 SE production vehicle, it was originally a Police Demonstrator and it's most famous moment was escorting the funeral cortege of Princess Diana before being decommissioned in 1992.

Preserved Staffordshire Police Jaguar XJ6 4.0 PS, the PS (Police Special) was a version of the XJ6 built exclusively for Police use and was actually badged as such. It started life as the staff car for Staffordshire's Chief Constable before being transferred to the traffic car fleet where the rear seats were taken out when it was used as a traffic car as the boot was not big enough to accommodate the kit that was carried. The seats were later reinstated so the vehicle could be used to carry detainees and was retired in 1996/97.

Who loves Dogs ? Who loves Police/Working Dogs, that's right, apart from criminals, everybody ! TPD George is one of current West Midlands Police 'Landsharks', PD Nugget's litter, not sure if that's the correct spelling of Luna but you get the idea. Always a pleasure when I get to see Police Dogs in action, either at football matches, demonstrations and events like this Open Day. Various Drones and associated equipment as used by West Midlands Police Drone Team dronesWMP This department was initially set up as a trial initiative totally funded by monies from Proceeds Of Crime, as it has now proven it's worth in cases such as Policing football matches and public order events etc. it is now fully up and running and as such receives money straight from West Midlands Police.
